No More Flexo Press Infeed Gear Train Repairs

With the easily attached Servo 3000 Flexo press maintenance will never again need to repair or replace worn gears on the press's infeed gear train. Elimination of worn mechanical gears and gear boxes by the Servo 3000 Digital Infeed + Re-register™ system gives the press more precise tracking and gets rid of backlash. The Servo 3000 system completely replaces both the infeed gear train and the existing infeed/pacing cylinder.

The Servo 3000 is made by Rotary Technologies. It is a combination servo infeed and re-register system that can be easily attached to any rotary press. It uses proprietary software to monitor what the press is doing and manage the infeed in order to very precisely follow the press. This system not only gets rid of the worn parts of the old infeed gear train but will make the press perform better than when the gears were new. The Servo 3000 provides such excellent web tension control that the press will run with 0.0025" resolution at full press speed and typically print a wider range of substrates than before.

The system comes in 10", 16", and 20.5" standard sizes according to the web width of the press. It comes with a specially coated, servo driven pacing roller which feeds material into the flexo press. The roller, plus gripper wheels acting as a nip, provide positive traction and prevent any slippage. The servo mechanism acts on an encoder signal from the press so the infeed system follows the press and not the other way around.

As advantageous as the machine's servo system is its ability to precisely reregister the web will make an old press much more flexible, cost efficient, and profitable. The Servo 3000 allows a press to take previous print runs on the same or other presses and run them again in order to add colors, repair design errors or mistakes, and do such difficult jobs as printing multilayer labels with greater efficiency. A handy use of a Servo 3000-assisted press is to do the finishing on labels printed by a new digital press. This saves the printer the cost of a new, "modular" machine that will stand idle when not doing digital print finishing.

For a small fraction of the cost of a new Flexo press the Servo 3000 Flexo press upgrade can eliminate problems with worn mechanical gears on the infeed gear train, improve overall press performance, and add the flexibility to do more jobs on a wider ranger of substrates that before.

My 1998 suburban 2wd will not go in reverse. Can I repair the gear myself?

I think it is a pinion gear or link. I have worked on the truck myself but never on the transmission.

Accept the most kindly advice in the world. Do not mess with the gearbox if you're a beginner at automobile mechanics. It's the most complex part of it. Pros or nothing on there... or your car might not even go forward on your desperate attempt to make it go in reverse.
Good luck friend! ;)
