anyone know how the kodak program to download photos from Kodak DSC 520?
I have an older Kodak DCS 520 dig cam, and I lost my laptop that had the program! I could download my photos to and then they would open in jpeg format on my photoshop.I can't remember the name or how to do it, Kodak so far is no help...anyone know the program/software I'm talking about?? THANKS!
Just to make sure I understand the situation...you have the camera and a cord to connect the camera to your computer, and you have Photoshop, but you're missing the original Kodak program?
You may not need the program. Open My Computer, and see if it lists any "removable device," camera or even "Kodak DCS.." etc. If it does, click on it, and it should allow you to view a selection of files.
Right-click in this window, and then choose "Select all." Then, right-click again, choose "Copy," and go back to My Computer. Navigate to a folder called "Pictures" or "My Pictures," and right-click. Choose New > Folder, and name it however you like. Once you have a folder and it is named, double-click this folder. It will show no contents yet. Right-click in this window, and then choose "Paste."
Your photos should appear in this folder, and you will be able to open them in Photoshop.
To open them in Photoshop, go to File > Open, and navigate to your Pictures folder, then to the folder you created and pasted images into. Click the image you would like to open, choose "Open," and it will have opened. When you are finished making changes, save it as you normally would.
