How good is 10x Optical zoom on a digital camera?
I've been thinking about buying a camera but I want to know if 10x OPTICAL zoom is good? I manly want it to record some footage of a concert i am going to and things like that? will it do?
I have a 10X on my Canon and it really helps bring me closer. However, the more you zoom, the more difficult it is to focus and get steady pictures. If you zoom out, then hold it up to try and get pictures it won't work. Any videos you shot are also very shaky unless you can steady yourself and hold the camera very still. The bigger the zoom, the more pronounced is any shakiness. But I'm glad I got the 10X as opposed to the 4X I was thinking about.
