Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens is the top of the line digital camera that is an upgraded version of D80 and just a little short of all the options that Nikon D300 offers. I would say Nikon D90 Digital Camera is somewhere around 90% of D300, with two benefits compared to Nikon D300. First one is the price; it is significantly cheaper than Nikon D300 which may be the reason why it is selling like crazy. The other reason is the first DSLR movie mode. That means that this baby is the first digital camera that has the ability to record video clips.
With Nikon D90 Digital Camera you can records a video clip for 5 minutes. That is if you want your recording to be in 1280*720 resolution, if you want a longer video recording you can shoot the video in 600*480 resolution which will allow you a 20 minute video recording. Now this is a great plus for Nikon in general, they are not trying to compete with digital video cameras, they are just trying to give more options to their top of the line cameras like Nikon D90 Digital Camera.
Regarding other technical details of the Nikon D90 Digital Camera you won’t be disappointed. Nikon D90 Digital Camera has a 12.9 megapixel DX-format CMOS sensor, the same as Nikon D300. It also has a 3.0-inch 920,000 pixel TFT monitor on which you can preview your pictures or video recording you just made. So those are the two most significant options that are the same as D300 and we can get them at a lower price.
