How do I enable the on-board mic in a Vista laptop?
I disabled the default mic on my Vista laptop while trying to turn it off temporarily. However, it was deleted off of the list in the control panel sounds menu. Is there any way I can turn it back on?
Right click the sound icon on the taskbar (bottom right of the screen). And click on recording devices. See if it comes up on there and whether you can re-enable it from there.
EDIT: If you click on a empty space in recording devices and click show disabled devices, you should see it.
