The Canon Rebel XTi (400D) Steers Clear of the Bleeding Edge
The Canon Digital Rebel XTi (400D) is the second last within the line of Canon digital SLR aimed at the enthusiast market segment. The successor to the Digital Rebel XT (350D) as well as the original Digital Rebel (300D) camera indeed marked a turning point inside the market for digital SLR.

What does the 'i' in XSi and XTi mean?
Like how they have an XS and a XT what makes the XSi and XTI different?
Actually, the i does mean something. The XSi is the updated XS, and the XTi is the update to the XT cameras. I don't cram my head with all the specifics, but the updates usuallly pertain to more megapixels and / or other "improvements" over the previous model.
I suppose you could say the *i* stands for Improvement, though I like to think it stands for Idiot because of all the suckers the manufacturers dupe into buying the new cameras just based on some rather meaningless "upgrades".
